L’Elisir D’Amore

Yesterday, the curtain fell for the last time for Donizetti’s L’Elisir d’Amore opera held at the Manoel Theatre for the past 4 days. It has been a 4 month journey … starting off with singing rehearsals in November, followed by staging ones in January, then 2 weeks on stage with the principals, and the final production week! I had the opportunity to interpret two characters … one of Villa Adinas’ waiters and the notary!

L'Elisir D'Amore

We had the chance to work with 2 different casts who shared 5 main characters … Nemorino, Adina, Belcore, Dr. Dulcamara & Giannetta. Opera direction was in the hands of Denise Mulholland, and music was performed by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Philip Walsh. I’d like to thank all those who have been mentoring us throughout the last few months. New friendships were made … and lovely memories will be treasured! To the next one!
